Estimation of PPPs at the level of basic expenditure headings

The research in this area takes a systematic look at some of the problems that are involved in making international comparisons of prices.  The focus is on the problems that occur at the first stage of aggregation, where accurate information on expenditure weights that are associated with price information collected by individual countries at the basic heading level is not available.
