The World Bank Group is pleased to announce the launch of a new electronic system for the selection of operational consultants. The new system called eConsultant2 will, over time, replace the existing eConsultant system. The new eConsultant2 system will ultimately be used by all members of the World Bank Group (including IBRD, IFC, and MIGA).
On a pilot basis, certain departments within the World Bank Group will now begin posting opportunities using the new eConsultant2 system. The rest of the departments within the World Bank Group will continue to use the existing processes. Selections started in the existing system will be completed in that same system until it is finally retired sometime in the first Quarter of Calendar Year 2010. We will continue to keep you appraised of the impending retirement of the old system. In the mean time, please continue to monitor both systems for new opportunities.
We think you will find that the new intuitive and easy to use. As we are not transfering user accounts from the existing system to the new system, vendors are required to set up a new account for the eConsultant2 system. We have provided new and easier to use features for maintaining your account and the contacts within your firm associated with the account.
The attached eConsultant 2 Firm Overview provides a useful overview of the new system.
Use this page to monitor bidding opportunities in both the eConsultant and eConsultant2 systems.
Thank you, and we look forward to working with you.
