 Mr. Graeme Wheeler, a New Zealand national, was appointed Vice President and Treasurer of the World Bank in August 2001.
He joined the World Bank in 1997 as the first Director of the Financial Products and Services Department of the World Bank.
Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Wheeler was the Treasurer of the New Zealand Debt Management Office (NZDMO) and Deputy Secretary of the New Zealand Treasury. Prior to moving to the NZDMO, Mr. Wheeler was Director of Macroeconomic Policy and Strategy in the New Zealand Treasur
