Overview | The Seminar Series is targeted for senior undergraduate and graduate students of the social sciences, international development, public policy and business. It is led by experts at the World Bank, who have first-hand knowledge and experience in the concerned global issues. Delivery of the series is done by interactive video-conferencing with students at participating universities using the Global Distance Learning Network Facilities and/or Internet 2 connectivity. | Spring 2007... | This spring, students will be connecting by videoconference from universities in Asia/Pacific and North America, including Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Canada, Australia and Sri Lanka. Please email globalis@worldbank.org if you are interested. | More about the Program | | For individuals | Read background materials posted on the website on each session Watch videos of the seminars posted on the website | For Universities | Send an e-mail to globalis@worldbank.org expressing interest. Confirm the technical feasibility for video-conference links (GDLN, Internet 2, ISDN, etc.) Designate a local facilitator. His/her role would be to accompany the students, make available print copies of the hand-outs for students; briefly mention the name of institution, the number of participants, and the profile of students at the beginning of each session, and moderate 'question and answer' portion of the session for their specific site. |
