IBRD and IDA prepare financial statements in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (U.S. GAAP). The IBRD Information Statement is the primary document issued in support of IBRD's bond offering program and is also available on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission site at http://www.sec.gov/edgarhp.htm.

Trust Funds

Annually, management asserts on the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, which is integrated with the audit of the combined financial statements of all modified cash basis trust funds administered by the World Bank Group (collectively referred to as the "Single Audit"). The large financial intermediary funds (FIFs) are subject to separate annual audits.
