The World Bank Group Archives sponsors several records management projects that encourage sound records management practices.  These projects include:

• developing an electronic records strategy, including a framework and polices and procedures for managing electronic records;
• partnering with other international organizations to promote evidence-based governance in the electronic age help ensure vital records are retained and available to a country's citizenry;
• sharing knowledge about the important relationship between archives and development; and
• adopting International Standards for Archival Description General (ISADG) to catalog and describe records.
