Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the mend. In the past decade, refugees have returned in great numbers, infrastructure and basic services have been restored to almost prewar levels, while the country and its people have made substantial progress in their overall economic and social development. Beyond reconstruction, the country’s focus now is on deepening reforms, joining the EU and achieving a successful economic transition.
