The Executive Director, along with the other 24 members of the Board, is responsible for the conduct of the general operations of the Bank, and exercise powers delegated to her by the Board of Governors.
Responsibilities consist of participating in Board meetings to define institutional policies and strategies, as well as approving programs and projects, including IBRD loan and guarantee proposals, IDA credits, grants and guarantee proposals made by the President.
The Executive Director is the Vice Chair of the Committee on Governance and Executive Directors' Administrative Matters (COGAM) and member of the Human Resources Committee (HRC). She also attends meetings of the Audit Committee (AC), Committee on Development Effectiveness (CODE), the Budget Committee (BC), and the Steering Committee.
