Welcome to the website of the Office of the Executive Director for Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Philippines, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago.  These countries have played an important role since they joined the World Bank Group. Their membership is as follows:

  • Brazil - January 14, 1946
  • Colombia - December 24, 1946
  • Dominican Republic - December 28, 1945
  • Ecuador - December 28, 1945
  • Haiti - September 8, 1953
  • Panama - March 14, 1946
  • Philippines - December 27, 1945
  • Suriname - June 27, 1978
  • Trinidad & Tobago - September 16, 1963

Along with the other members of the office, the Executive Director represents these countries in meetings at the World Bank and engages in direct consultations and negotiations with other Executive Officers in efforts to gain support for the World Bank's efforts in reducing poverty.
