The following links to publicly available search engines allow you to locate foundations by specified criteria and to learn about opportunities for partnerships:
- Europe in the World is a web portal for European foundations and international partners interested in global development and collaboration. The portal includes a section on Projects being funded by European foundations that can be searched by location and Millennium Development Goal topics (child mortality, education, environment, gender equality…). There is also an Opportunities section that contains information on newly formed initiatives seeking partners.
- Funders Online is an initiative of the European Foundation Centre (EFC). The EFC promotes and underpins the work of international foundations and corporate funders active in Europe. Funders Online can be searched by foundation name and country.
- Finding Funders is a resource provided by the Foundation Center, the United States’ leading authority on philanthropy. The Foundation Center serves grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public. Finding Funders can be searched by foundation name for basic information about the more than 70,000 private and community foundations in the U.S.
