imageGFHR's program objectives are: (i) help focus research efforts on the health problems resulting in the heaviest burden on the world's health; (ii) seek to improve the reallocation of health research funds in both public and private sectors; and (iii) facilitate collaboration between partners in both public and the private sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry.  Activities include: (i) analytical work on burden of disease and health cost effectiveness analysis; (ii) organization of Annual Forum on Health Research Priorities and Funding, in conjunction with the Worl Summits on Health Research; (iii) bringing together research partners to attract new financing for research solutions of health problems in low- and middle-income countries; (iv) strengthen communications and knowledge sharing among partners; and (v) measuring research results
