President Wolfensohn led the Bank delegation to the World Food Summit in Rome from November 13 - 17, which was sponsored by the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization. The Summit brought together heads of state and government from 200 countries. Participants used the forum to reach consensus on a coordinated campaign, in partnership with civil society and international organizations, to eradicate hunger.
