Infrastructure Action Plan

	The Infrastructure Action Plan (54KB, PDF) was developed to revitalize the Bank Group's infrastructure business, in light of growing infrastructure investment needs, the withdrawal of private investors, and increased recognition that the MDGs can only be achieved in a multi-sectoral way. The Action Plan is the roadmap for the future of the World Bank Group's infrastructure business, and it lays out a clear cut strategy to rebuild our infrastructure pipeline in the short term, as well as a medium-term business development strategy to rebuild our knowledge base as a tool for long-term growth. The Action Plan was presented to the Board in July 2003, followed by a presentation to the Development Committee in October 2003. An update on the implementation of the Action Plan was presented to the Development Committee in October 2004. A progress report was submitted to the Development Committee at the Annual Meetings in September 2005.
