Nature
Thirty-One Photographic Explorations

Starting January 6, 2006, and until the end of the year, Nature: Thirty-One Photographic Explorations, will celebrate love for natural elements and phenomena and human interaction with nature as seen through the eyes of fifteen photographers from the International Photographic Society (IPS).

The IPS is composed of IMF and World Bank Group Staff and family members. The main goals of IPS are the enjoyment, mastery, and furtherance of photography through cooperation, effort, and good fellowship. IPS exists to provide its members with opportunities to further their interest in the art and craft of photography.

Nature: Thirty-One Photographic Explorations celebrates a selection of 31 photographs by 15 talented members of IPS from 13 countries. The images are winning photographs from the “Nature” category in past IPS competitions. They represent the artists’ own exploration of the medium and, thus, make a statement in underscoring the importance of the individual behind the picture.
