Exploitation and Human Trafficking
Photographic Exhibition and Symposium
The World Bank Art Program in partnership with the World Bank Human Development Network and with co-sponsorship from the United Nations’ Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Ricky Martin Foundation, Free the Slaves and International Justice Mission will host an exhibition on exploitation and human trafficking. The exhibition will raise awareness about exploitation and human trafficking as they relate to sex tourism and forced labor.
The opening symposium will feature presentations by experts from different fields. They will share perspectives, knowledge and stories from the frontlines of the battle against human trafficking and exploitation.

Symposium speakers: Joy Phumaphi (World Bank Vice President), Johannes Koettl (World Bank Economist), Simone Monasebian (Chief Officer of the UNODC New York), Angel Saltos (Executive Director of the Ricky Martin Foundation), Guerda Lexima (Director of the Haitian NGO, Fondasyon Limye Lavi, which combats the exploitation of children) and E. Benjamin Skinner (author of "A Crime so Monstrous: face-to-face with modern slavery")
