The Appeals Committee (ACO) is one of the formal processes in the World Bank Group's Conflict Resolution System (CRS). It is a peer review arbitration process that was established to allow staff to challenge administrative decisions, which alter or breach terms of their employment or any formal disciplinary action based on misconduct. If a formal administrative decision is made against a staff member, the ACO staff is available to assist with an appeal.
The ACO is committed to ensuring fair treatment of staff by making certain that administrative actions are not an abuse of managerial discretion in that they are arbitrary, discriminatory or carried out in violation of applicable Bank Group procedures. The Appeals Committee has counselors who can assist staff with their appeal.
