The World Bank will not tolerate domestic abuse by Managers or Staff members. Domestic abuse includes conduct involving physical, emotional, financial or other mistreatment of spouses, children, elderly relatives, domestic partners or domestic workers, or those with whom the Staff member has formerly held a similar close relationship. We are obligated to conduct ourselves at all times as employees of an international organization. Domestic abuse can include any of the following: Acts of physical violence Economic abuse Using children Male privilege  Emotional and verbal abuse, including threats, isolation, intimidation, minimizing, denying, and blaming

 | In order to minimize World Bank Group involvement in such situations, staff members should be advised that:
- Domestic abuse is a matter to be handled by the police and local authorities.
- The World Bank Group will not allow abusers to hide behind the organizations’ privileges and immunities.
The Office of Ethics and Business Conduct will work to get help for victims of domestic abuse and may refer the victim to the following resources: 
 Emergency Help (if you are in immediate physical danger)
Always Call 911. Say you are reporting an incident of domestic violence. The police will know how to respond. 
Non-Emergency Help - The HUB Confidential help is now available free of charge for World Bank Group families with concerns about conflict within their domestic relationships.

Family Consultation Service (FCS)Â Spouses and partners can receive free and confidential counseling service from the Family Consultation Service (FCS). FCS helps those experiencing difficulties in: - family relations,
- relocation,
- transition, or
- health related matters.
FCS is a free and confidential counseling service available to World Bank Group spouses and partners. Experienced counselors are available 24/7 and service is available in a number of languages. If you prefer service in a language other than English, please indicate so at the time of your call.
