Welcome to the World Bank's website for parliamentarians. The Bank's hub for global parliamentary outreach and activities is based in the European External Affairs Office, and run by the Bank's Development Policy Dialogue Team. The Bank also works with parliamentarians through the World Bank Institute's (WBI) capacity building programs and our country offices and country teams. Our global network of Public Information Services assists in providing World Bank project documents and other key publications. Read more

Some 30 Parliamentarians from 15 countries in the West Africa region and experts from the region attended on June 18-20 a two day consultation jointly organized by AWEPA (European Parliamentarians for Africa) PNoWB and the World Bank and hosted by the National Assembly and World Bank Dakar Office. More.

On June 4 MPs thirty-three MPs from across Southeast, Central, and Eastern Europe discussed pressing development challenges of common interest this week, including investment climate, rising food and energy prices, and aging and demography challenges in the Region. More.
