The World Bank Group's relations with parliamentarians reached another milestone with the fifth Annual Conference of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank (PNoWB).
The gathering hosted by the French Senate in Paris on February 14-16 included some 190 parliamentarians from 75 countries representing all regions. Meeting with the MPs were not only the World Bank President and other Bank staff, but also representatives of other multilateral organizations, civil society groups and parliamentary assemblies - by far the widest participation ever since the Annual Conference was first introduced in 2000.

Mobilizing political will and building political alliances to reach the Millennium Development Goals.
