The Rabat conference brought together over 50 MPs from the Middle East and North Africa region to discuss their role in anti-corruption along with topics such as budget oversight and conflict of interest legislation. The conference was co-sponsored by the Moroccan Parliament, Arab Region Parliamentarians Against Corruption (ARPAC), USAID, SUNY Center for International Development, the Wesminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), The World Bank, and the Parlimentary Network on the World Bank (PNoWB).
During the Rabat conference the Steering Committee for the Arab Chapter of the PNoWB held a side meeting under the leadership of Ghassan Moukheiber, MP (Lebanon) to draft a new action plan for the Chapter.
