Tokyo, Japan 2-3 July, 2008 - The Asian Population and Development Association (APDA) together with several other partners including the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank (PNoWB) and the World Bank will hold the “G8 International Parliamentarians’ Conference on Population & Sustainable Development” in Tokyo, Japan on the theme of Global Health, Climate Change & Food Security. This event will provide a major parliamentary input to the G8 Tokyo summit.
Mohammad Zia Qureshi lead author of the Global Monitoring Report will represent the World Bank and present recent findings of the GMR but also recommendations for concrete actions that parliamentarians can take on population issues and global health.
