The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will be visiting Washington

Washington DC, USA - They will meet World Bank senior Management on the global development situation as seen by the World Bank, in light of the MDGs at mid-point (focusing on what more should be done by the 47 Council of Europe member States) and on the role and relevance of the World Bank in an era of globalisation. Issues will include those raised in the motion for a resolution entitled The role and relevance of the world economic institutions in an era of globalisation  which provides the basis of the planned report by Finnish MP Kimmo Sasi, also including a discussion of the issue of conditionality).
