General information
After registering, you will receive an email confirming reception, and, at a later date, information about the status of your application. Please note that only officially confirmed participants may attend the conference. A few weeks before the conference, accepted participants will receive the final program and logistical information.
Participation in the ABCDE is free of charge. Participants will be responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements, at their own expense.
Meals will be provided during the conference.
Speakers, discussants and chairpersons in plenary or parallel sessions do not need to register.
Applicants to the ABCDE Support Grant who wish to participate in the ABCDE even if they are not awarded the grant, need to register separately.
Travel
The organizers cover travel and accommodation costs for speakers in plenary and parallel sessions, as well as awardees of the ABCDE Support Grant. Participants travel to the ABCDE at their own expense.
Airport transportation
Most particicipants will arrive at the Ljubljana Brnik international airport. There will be an ABCDE information desk at the airport on May 16 and May 17, to assist participants. A taxi to Bled costs approximately 50 euros. Participants may also reserve the shuttle bus , using the joint accommodation-shuttle form. It is recommended to make the booking a few days prior to your arrival.
Accommodation
The organizers will offer assistance in hotel bookings for accepted conference participants, upon request. Accommodation is at the participants' own expense.
You can now directly book your hotel in Bled. An early booking is recommended, due to room availability.
Please note that speakers and awardees of the ABCDE Support Grant will have their booking arranged for them, at the cost of the organizers.
Visas
Check if you need a visa to travel to Slovenia!
Visa arrangements are the responsibility of the participants. The organizers will issue a letter of invitation for visa purposes for accepted conference participants who request it. Please note that a Schengen visa is not valid in Slovenia.
ABCDE participants will be exempt from the visa application fee.
Please note that is takes at least 10 working days for the visa to be issued.
