The Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE) is a unique platform designed to expand the flow of ideas between thinkers, practitioners and policy-makers within the field of international development.
The ABCDE 2005 was co-organized by the World Bank, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister for Development Co-operation and the Ministry of Finance of The Netherlands. It was held on 23-24 May 2005, in Amsterdam. Nearly 600 participants coming from approximately 90 countries of the world attended ABCDE 2005, breaking the attendance record for all ABCDE conferences. More than 130 speakers took part in the conference, representing states, international organizations, academic institutions, the civil society and the private sector. Read more...
