The Europe and Central Asia Impact Evaluation Initiative (ECAIE) cluster is a program of the World Bank that:
- Supports rigorous impact evaluations of World Bank projects and country programs in the Europe and Central Asia region
- Provides technical assistance to task teams and government agencies to design and implement impact evaluations through the entire project cycle.
- Supports monitoring and evaluation capacity building for implementing agencies and policy makers
- Fosters impact evaluation partnerships between governments, the EU, academics and policy institutes, and civil society
Areas of ongoing impact evaluations include early childhood development, school grants, conditional cash transfers, active labor market programs, results-based financing in health, and micro-finance. A cross-cutting theme is social inclusion.
ECAIE is coordinated from the Europe and Central Asia Region's Human Development (HD) group.
