Global Monitoring

The Global Monitoring Report series, produced by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, focuses on how the world is doing in implementing the policies and actions for achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and related development outcomes. The reports are a framework for accountability in global development policy.

GMR 2009

The global financial crisis is imperiling attainment of the 2015 MDGs and creating an emergency for development. Global Monitoring Report 2009 warns that, although the first goal of halving extreme poverty by 2015 from its 1990 level is still reachable based on current projections, risks abound.
