The World Bank has joined forces with the International Monetary Fund, the Governments of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, and the Global Development Network to organize a conference on macroeconomic issues in low income countries.
The objective of the conference is to bring in new perspectives and insights of academics based in low income countries on the effectiveness and scope for improvement of macroeconomic policies in their economies. The body of research that has been generated under the project will be presented at this conference.
Venue: The conference will take place at IMF Headquarters (Room 2-530) in Washington D.C. on February 15-16, 2005.
