SANDY CHANG is a Consultant in the office of the World Development Report at the World Bank. Before joining the WDR, she contributed to the design of a coral reef monitoring program for the Africa environment and Natural resource management unit (AFTEN). She previously worked in the Water and Sanitation Program on rural water and sanitation services and poverty analysis of Bank water projects. Dr. Chang received her B.S. in Geological and Environmental Sciences, M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. Her research focused on the adaptation of coral reefs to local hydrodynamic variabilities.
