Arun Agrawal is a Professor in the School of Natural Resources & Environment at the University of Michigan, and the Research Coordinator of the International Forestry Resources and Institutions program. His research and teaching interests concern international development, climate adaptation, and environmental governance. His research on forests and adaptation spans South Asia, Latin America, and East Africa. His most recent work includes an analysis of rural institutions and climate change for the World Bank’s Social Development Department, as well as a project on the governance aspects of climate change adaptation in cities. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Duke University and an MBA in Development Administration and Public Policy from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, India.
