Donor Funded Staffing Program (DFSP)

GENERAL

The Donor Funded Staffing Program’s (DFSP) objective is to contribute to the achievement of the Bank's diversity targets and capacity building efforts through the recruitment of both mid-career professionals and junior professionals, in Headquarters and Country Offices. The DFSP consolidates the two previous stand-alone Donor funded programs, Externally Funded Staffing Program (EFSP) and Junior Professional Officers Program (JPO) under a single umbrella with two recruitment windows: Junior Professional Officers (JPOs) and Mid-Career Professionals. The Program continues to allow Donors and the Bank to leverage their development agendas more strategically.

PARTICIPATING DONORS AND FUNDING

100% funding is provided by participating Donor Governments of Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Funding is tied to the Donor nationality.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Donors may express sector preference as part of their development strategy. Positions are advertised by individual Donors.

(In case of dual nationalities, applicants must report all nationalities at application stage.)

Initial appointments are Two-Year Coterminous Term appointments. The appointment may be extended and funded for an additional 3rd year as long as there is Donor approval and a 2-year additional commitment by the hiring unit to retain the participant on Bank budget (beyond the 3rd year).

Apart from the source of funding and the nationality tie, DFSP participants will be governed by the same HR rules and policies as for any other Bank staff.

Program participants can apply to any vacancies open for competition. They may also be posted in a Headquarters or Country Office unit.
