More on CAS Loans and Grants Since 1996, the International Development Association - the soft lending arm of the World Bank - has financed 47 projects for a total commitment of US$974.2 million. The country has also received two International Development Facility (IDF) grants worth US$742,490. Of these, 28 operations have been completed as of December 31, 2003. Ongoing operations comprise 18 investment or technical assistance loans, one adjustment operation, and two grants. Five new loans and two Global Environment Facility (GEF) operations are currently under preparation.
