World Bank Partners in Macedonia

As one of the major development partners of FYR Macedonia, the World Bank coordinates and integrates its program with those of its partners.

Close coordination of programs is particularly important in education, public sector management, trade facilitation, social protection reform and judicial reform, where complementary donor activities are planned to provide comprehensive assistance to the country.  The World Bank’s support for infrastructure – through projects in transport restructuring, energy, and trade and transport facilitation – is also closely interlinked with those of other donors and multilateral banks.

The World Bank’s major donor partners include the European Union, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), and a strategic financing partnership with the Government of the Netherlands.
