During the last two and a half decades, the rapid economic growth by the countries of East-Asia is well-known. A main source of this success can be attributed to Human Resource Development. Apart from basic education skills, technological change is indispensable in maintaining competitiveness in an increasingly globalized and competitive world. This requires the creation of a training culture in the labor force. This seminar featured a presentation by Dr. Chan-Won Jang, who spoke about the initial impact of Korean Human Resource Development on the economic development of Korea and other East-Asian countries.
