About ARDE

The Annual Review of Development Effectiveness (ARDE) synthesizes Operation Evaluaution Department's recent evaluation findings, drawing themes and lessons concerning possibilities for improving the World Bank's contributions to effective development. Recent reviews in the series have focused on making strategic choices in designing and implementing programs to achieve development objectives, how the Bank's programs are helping client countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals, and the effectiveness of Bank support for policy reform.
