World Bank retirees typically have the experience and resources to handle their affairs well, and to make proper arrangements for emergencies. But occasionally their best-laid plans may suddenly come apart, particularly in times of crises such as serious illness or bereavement.  The 1818 Society has put together some information which hopefully, will help you navigate through difficult times and can be accessed by clicking on the link below. If you have questions please direct them to 1society@worldbank.org or telephone 202-458 1956 during office hours Monday to Friday, 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM. Our mission is to provide our members in the Washington metropolitan area with information on services and support networks within their local community.
