The Bank Group sponsors a Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance program to cover non-medical expenses related to assist you with daily living activities. Benefits would be provided for nursing homes, assisted living facilites, home health aid, homemaker services, adult day care, etc. The MIP has limited rehabilitation care and limited in-home care immediately related to an illness or accident. However, if you or an eligible dependent require longer term non-medical care (which can be quite expensive), medical insurance plans such as the MIP or Medicare in the U.S. will not provide coverage. Long term care costs can be met through insurance products, savings or adjustments in lifestyle.

Costs increase sharply with age at the time of enrollment.
World Bank Group retirees are eligible but are subject to medical underwriting before they are approved for enrollment.
