WBFN Book Project relies primarily on donations from local public and private schools, some of whom organize book drives specifically to support the Book Project. Donations from individuals are also greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate books, please first contact The Book Project at (202) 473 8960 or send an email to bookprojectwbfn@worldbank.org The Book Project is open from 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Wednesday all year except for the holiday season in December. Where to bring the books: If the total volume of books is less that 20 boxes (size 8.5x11x10), please bring them to the loading dock. To find out more, please call us at (202) 473 8960 . If the consignment of books is more than 20 boxes, then please bring them to the World Bank Warehouse. Please contact the Book Project for further information. Book Needs: We welcome Textbooks for children K-12, or ages 4-18, with the following exceptions:Books older than 10 years, books about US Government/History, politics and religion. Crafts and vocational books Simple or beginner level Reference books: dictionaries, atlases, encyclopedias (not older than 15 years) maps, charts, National Geographic books Picture books, stories, magazines (e.g. National Geographic & Discover), literature, for K-12 Literature and readers for kindergarten -12th Grade and Universities. Also novels, detective stories etc. suitable for community libraries used by people practicing learned English. Health: First Aid, General Health and Nutrition, AIDS ESL: Grammar, Reading and Writing, Fiction. Teacher Education: Elementary through Secondary, ESL French & Spanish literature and textbooks for native speakers only
