Museum visits
The WBFN Children and Youth have a new initiative. We are organizing guided tours to the Smithsonian museums for children, parents, and their friends. We visited the National Museum of African Art on November 7th. The tour went from 11:15 to 12:15 with quite a few families joining. The first part of the tour was of the museum's collection drawn from many of more than 900 cultures found throughout Africa. We also saw the new exhibit, “Playful Performers,” which is about how children in Africa learn through playful inventiveness and creativity. For our children it was a nice way to learn how to develop their own talents and skills through play. |
