The following project was approved today by the World Bank's Board:
CREDIT AMOUNT: IDA—US$ 24.3 million
TERMS: Grace Period = 10 years, Maturity = 40 years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will assist the government in developing policies and regulations and strengthen capacity of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, and its provincial and district offices. It will assist in undertaking a mass land titling program, under which over one million land titles will be issued. It will also increase the capacity to resolve disputes and develop the information base the government needs to improve land management.
