CREDIT AMOUNT: IDA—US$ 18 million equivalent
TERMS: Grace Period = 10 years, Maturity = 40 years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed credit will support the government's efforts to achieve broad-based growth in the country's rural sector and thereby increase per capita rural incomes and reduce the incidence of poverty. The project also aims to support a successful transition from the current centrally administered system to a more competitive cotton sector, hence, improving efficiency.
