Benin: Public Expenditure Reform Adjustment Supplemental Credit

TERMS: Grace period = 10 years; Maturity = 40 years PROJECT DESCRIPTION:This supplemental credit will increase the impact of government expenditures on economic and social development and poverty alleviation. It will also improve governance by providing a transparent system of budgeting that links budget allocations to program objectives and sector strategies. Finally, the credit will establish a fiduciary framework enabling, in part, foreign financial assistance to be provided through an agreed budgetary strategic framework and national expenditure procedures.
