PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will improve the quality of life for urban residents by supporting local governments in delivering basic municipal services and infrastructure. One component focuses on strengthening the Municipal Development Fund’s ability to respond to the increasing needs of municipalities through technical assistance, training and studies supporting its transformation into an autonomous institution. The second component of the project strategy seeks to strengthen the ability of local governments and related agencies to better deliver and manage public services through training, computerization of tax management and reforming working procedures.
