| WASHINGTON, March 18, 2004—The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board:
CREDIT AMOUNT: US$20 Million
TERMS: Grace period = 10 years; Maturity = 40 years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The credit will support policy measures aimed at bolstering the medium-term macroeconomic framework; improving service delivery, governance and institutional capacity; and promoting employment and income-generating activities. The program will focus on selective themes critical to the quality of service delivery, for instance public expenditure management reforms. The program will focus on health, education and rural and semi-urban water and will support the Environment and Urban Development and the Forest management programs.
