PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project's development objectives are to accelerate, in a commercially viable manner, the use of electricity for economic growth and improved quality of life in un-served and under-served areas, thereby combating poverty and providing basic infrastructure needs for education and health. The project also aims to improve governance and ensure the financial sustainability of the sector, through the involvement of the private sector in partnership with the public sector; and will promote regional cooperation while protecting the environment in a sustainable manner.
