Loïc Chiquier is Program Manager, Housing Finance Practice, Financial Markets for the Social Safety Net unit, Financial and Private Sector Development Vice Presidency. He is experienced in housing and housing finance policy, primary and secondary mortgage markets, housing finance institutions, lower-income housing finance, microfinance, rental markets, legal and regulatory environment. He has worked on Algeria, Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, Hungary, Iran, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Turkey, and the Ukraine. Prior to Joining the Bank, he was Advisor for housing finance reforms with the Government of Poland, Head of Crédit Foncier International (subsidiary of a French bank providing international technical assistance) and Director for Eastern Europe of this bank. Loic holds degrees from Ecole Polytechnique (France) DEA of macro-economic analysis & policy (Ecole Normale Supérieure); Master Degrees in Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees (“finance”) and in the Institut des Sciences Politiques de Paris (“international relations”).
