WASHINGTON, April 24, 2007 - The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:
IDA CREDIT: US$ 65 million
TERMS: Maturity = 40 years; Grace Period = 10 years
IDA GRANT: US$ 35 million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The objective of this project is to increase access to sustainable water supply and sanitation services in Addis Ababa and four secondary cities. It will help produce more water for all customers and extend the distribution network to areas that currently lack water service.
