Rapid Urbanization in developing countries has led to increased attention to Metropolitan management issues. The key objective of the roundtable is to identify emerging issues and key policy questions related to metropolitan management in areas related to interjurisdictional service delivery, urban planning, fiscal policy and economic development. The speakers will elaborate on their experiences regarding what questions and demands are perceived to be most important and urgent among policy makers in developing and developed countries. In addition, in addressing those demands, they will highlight which approaches are well known and well covered, and what are the gaps on which analytical and policy work would be most needed and productive going forward.
