Thank you very much for welcoming me on my visit to Cambodia. I have come here for a very short time, but I can see your country is beautiful.
I can see why you are very proud to be part of this community with these wonderful temples. I understand that you have been here a number of hours. And I am sorry that you had to wait. But, it is an honor for me to share this day with you – and to thank the many people who are involved with creating this program of land titling because this helps make you owners of your own country.
I know that Cambodia has seen some sad days. But I hope that there are bright days ahead. And for Cambodia to prosper it’s important that the benefits are shared with all of Cambodia’s people. And being able to own your own land is part of that. I hope this program will enable you not only to own your land but to use it in different ways.
You may be able to borrow with your land. You can build with your land and you can leave your land and the future with your children. So then you too can be part of building the future of Cambodia. So, I greatly appreciate being able to share this important day with you. I wish you all the best for a prosperous and happy future.
Thank you.
