WASHINGTON, December 11, 2007 - The following projects were approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:
Total Project Cost: US$327.57 million including:
Global Environment Facility (GEF) Grant: US$49.80 million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The objective of the project is to contribute to an increase in the share of renewable energy in the Egyptian generation mix thereby contributing to the Government's aim of diversifying electric power production.
