Post-Primary Education Reform in Africa

Begins:   May 12, 2008
Ends:   May 16, 2008

Registration (not selected)

The main focus of this workshop is on how a country’s post-basic education and learning system can be reformed to respond to the changing economies of African countries.

The workshop will address challenges facing secondary, vocational and tertiary education. It will focus strongly on policy strategies, concrete case studies, and analytical tools that governments could use to reform their post-basic education system in Africa.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for government officials from selected African countries to discuss country based outcomes as well as for UK Department for International Development (DFID) and advisers from other donor agencies to discuss the policy implications of expanding support for post-primary education.
